The website

This site is provided for information about the BitShout product. Content may change without notice. Nothing on it forms a contract, a warranty, or a commitment to ship a particular capability on a particular date.

Security claims and their limits

BitShout describes what it does in terms tied to a documented threat model and to the enforcement mechanisms it actually uses. It does not claim to be unbreakable, impossible to bypass, guaranteed secure, or to provide complete isolation.

A policy decision is not an operating-system denial. Where BitShout has evaluated policy but the operating-system boundary has not enforced it, that state is labelled and is not presented as enforcement.

Capabilities that depend on Apple restricted entitlements are not available until those entitlements are approved and the corresponding system extensions are installed and approved on your Mac. The Trust page states which capabilities are currently in that position.

Your responsibility

BitShout is one control among several. It does not replace operating-system updates, backups, code review, credential hygiene, or judgement about what an AI application should be asked to do in the first place. Granting an application broad authority through BitShout produces broad authority; the product makes that decision explicit, it does not make it safe.

The website and, except where a separate licence agreement applies, the software are provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BitShout and its authors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits or business, arising from use of this website or the software.

Software licence

Use of the BitShout application is governed by the licence agreement supplied with it. Where that agreement and these terms differ, the licence agreement controls for the software.
